A little more about this place.

Good material makes a difference.

The Taiwanese Way is a library of transcripts from publicly available Chinese material. It brings together Chinese audio, video, and accompanying text so you can learn through real conversations and stories.

You’ll find everyday Mandarin, Taiwanese culture, news, travel, and language learning resources. The focus is Chinese as it’s actually used, with material you can return to whenever you want to practice.

The recordings come from their original public sources. This website helps you find them and read along. First-person language in a transcript belongs to the speaker in that source material.

Make yourself at home.

  1. Choose an episode

Browse the library by topic or search for a word in Chinese or English.

  2. Press play and read

Load the audio or video player, or follow a link to the original listening platform. Read the transcript alongside it.

  3. Go at your own pace

Replay a sentence, look up vocabulary, and come back to a favorite episode. There’s no set order.

Everything in the library is free to explore. For corrections, source questions, or suggestions, email contact@thetaiwaneseway.com.
